hey guyes,
im in maya 8.0 and anytime i enter component mode w f8, i cant get it to shade the wireframe. ive pressed 4 and 5 and all that. it makes it really hard to make heads or tales of the object. also, just normally selecting an item makes it go half transparent, so even if it is shaded, i still see the whole wireframe. aaanndd if i create a shape, it wont automatically appear at the origin. thats not really a problem, but it might provide a clue to the other problems? anyway, thanks a lot for any help
